In Cuzco
Bus just rolled in. Its cold here too, but my room is nice and toasty. The bus ride took from 8pm to 3am, mostly because of the boulders littered all over the road by striking transportation workers. That was mostly only in the first three hours, after that our driver started going really fast on the straight aways, and slowing down with just enough time to make the turns, on cliff roads. Scary stuff, I probably only slept an hour total. Speaking of which, it's time to hit the hay.

Sounds like a scary bus ride. It is unfortunate there is a bus strike but you figured a creative way around the problem. And you will have a unique memory of this part of your trip. Sounds like you need a hat and gloves. One of those colorful Peru knit stocking hats would look good on your wall at home. Sleep tight. Dad
